You make a ton of sense. I've run several websites over 20 years--some free and some subscription based. Various degrees of success from meh to holy cow! I'm slowly shifting to Substack after trying multiple other platforms--again with ok income and significant income. I enjoy the freedom on Substack--the lack of stringent rules and over-managing algorithms. I like that writers seem to be important in the grand scheme of things. I love that using a custom url gives almost the same advantages as a standalone website and almost none of the headaches. I'm with you---good luck with your new perspective.

For sure! Also saves me $30/month from my other hosting platform. I also want to get more people to come over here too!

Thank you for this.

Deciding recently to "Go All In" on this amazing platform myself.

This tidbit never occurred to me as I do not wish to copy my stuff everywhere I just want ONE central location for all.

Just moved my podcast feed back to the mighty Substack and will forward domain.

This is my home. Lets get the money flowing for our creators and money to support the platform going forward.

It needs both content worth paying for and people paying for it.

This channel is a perfect example of that.

Thank you for the advice and I don't even run!!

You don't need to run to try to live your best life.☺️ That's what I'm always aiming towards. To help people discover they are capable of more than they believe.

Good luck with the change over :) I really enjoy substack, it works for everything I need!

If you haven't had a chance yet, check out Community Trail Running and let me know what you think!

The changeover was pretty seamless. It took about a day. I already had my posts up on my Substack so not really any content to migrate. All I had to do was go to custom domain, pay the one time $50 fee and I'm set.

Honestly, I like it more because Ghost charged a monthly fee to run your site there so it saves me money in the long run. Plus I have more traffic here :)

I'll definitely check out Community Trail Running! Glad to see many runners coming on here!

I’d definitely recommend doing it if you have a domain and don’t need anything complex for your site

Yeah I only had one glitch with putting in the DNS code but it was pretty simple. My domain was only down for a day
