Wonderful article! I run on days when I’m not able to surf due to schedule or lack of waves and also do lots of body weight strength training, so over the last few years as I get older it seems like I’m always wrestling with some kind of nagging issue. This was a really nice perspective I appreciated. Do you have a Collagen supplement you recommend? I definitely get enough protein I think but it never dawned on me I should be taking Collagen as well. Theres so many to choose from.

Thanks for the read! Full transparency, I work for a supplement company so I take Isopure collagen since I get a discount on it. It seems to work great for me though.

However, I have taken Great Lakes Collagen in the past and that was good along with Vital Proteins (I think they sell that at Costco). Haven’t noticed any difference between any of the brands personally so whatever your price point is per serving.

I use collagen in addition to my protein powder instead of it being a replacement for it.
